THE FUND’S MEMBERSHIP PROFILE

  • Active Members:

This category consists of Members who are in the permanent and pensionable employment of the Bank of Zambia and are Members of the Fund. 

  • Pensioners and other Beneficiaries:

This category consists of retirees, surviving spouses and child beneficiaries. 

As the average age of the Active Members continues to increase and as they retire, the volume of Members under this category will continue to rise.

  • Deferred Members:

This category was abolished by the Supreme Court in 2008.

  • Membership Statistics:

As of 31st March 2026, total Fund Membership was 450, consisting of 64 Active Members, three (3) former Deferred Members, 383 Pensioners/ Beneficiaries.
